Concept

An open, free, libre, distributed education program where people can pickup what they need to learn (extern) or participate and involve themselves (intern) by learning, collaborating on projects, and contributing back to the project.

Names?

  • Open (Hack) University, UFR0 style. ( OpenUniversity est pris)
  • Hacker Studies. (assez sérieux) ***
  • open(learn) (openlearn est pris)
  • Université Invisible ( bon titre anar, mais pas trop indicatif du sujet) ***
  • OCW Hack ( OCW n'est pas un acronyme très connu)
  • Pirate PhD

People, Principle & Program

People
  • Extern (Online only / alone)
  • Intern (1. Learn, 2. Coop/Collab/Projects, 3. Autonomize/Contribute/Feedback Loop)

Principle
  • No distinction between Students and Teachers, all are Interns.
  • Each of them would be in a different part of the lifecycle (1. Learn 2. Coop 3. Contribute).
  • There are no tests, evaluation, qualification based on formal tests.
  • Only the Projects and Contribution back into the system is important.
  • Anybody can start a new course.
  • Anybody can start a new university, based on a software distribution reproducing the used support systems.
Program
  • Regular interns / attendees, focused on Courses and Projects.
  • This integrates nicely with Hacker in Residence or "visiting hackers" who can come and participate for a short period to a Project or Contribution.
